The river. Forever, the river. With its changing forms. And its colors, sounds, smells. But not all of them. Each sample of water has the shape it has, the color it has, and produces a peculiar sound. And every time there is a peculiar smell in the air.

P10 (Mirando otra vez al río / Looking at the River, Again)

Similarities and differences do not entail any other existence apart from the existence of the things that are alike or different. And the existence of change does not entail that some abstract properties have exemplifications in something permanent, something that is the last substrate of change...

P9 (Mirando al río / Looking at the River)

Miro al río. Amanece despacio.

I look at the river. The world slowly dawns. And everything changes. Everything is in flux. For many people, that would be only a mere appearance. But, is it? Do I need to assume that there is something more permanent, a kind of substrate in which certain abstract properties are exemplified and others fail to do so? Do I need to suppose that besides the river itself there are a number of properties that give color and shape to all those small streams and backwaters? Is this the only way to understand my experience and knowledge? Is this the only way to understand myself?...

P8 (¿Soy yo esto? / Is this me?)

In the TV series Fringe (2008-13), the brilliant scientist, Walter Bishop, is looking for pieces of his brain that have been implanted in other subjects. He wants to recuperate lost memories, missing skills, etc. He wants to have back the broken pieces of his “I" (see the post P6)...

P7 (¿Dónde está Don Draper. ¿Dónde está el contenido? / Where is Don Draper? Where is content?)

Don Draper busca algo.

Don Draper is looking for something. He is looking for himself. He ask who he is. He is trying to find his essence. In his work, he also tries to find ways to express the essence of a product. Advertising continues the enterprise initiated by Socrates. To ask what things are. And the most personal question is to ask who is making all these questions...

P6 (Mundo Fringe / Fringe World)

Vuelvo a ver la serie Fringe (2008-13). La veo con mi hijo. Yo tan sólo conocía algunos episodios. Ahora los devoramos. Temporada tras temporada. La serie es impresionante. Ciencia al límite. Y relaciones personales también al límite...

I am seeing again the TV series Fringe (2008-13). I see it with my son. I only knew a few episodes. Now we devour them, season after season. The series is impressive. Science is taken to the limit. And personal relationships also are taken to the limit...

"Tenkara" is simplicity. It is a way of fishing. The word transcribes a Japanese word that means something like from the heaven". What come from the heaven is your fly. One story tells of samurais who are forbidden to train and substitute the rod from the sword cane. Another story tells of the evolution of old rural fishing traditions...
